Program Details
This reading membership has already allowed hundreds of educators and parents access to a research-based systematic phonics scope and sequence that builds in difficulty over time.
Digital, weekly lessons are provided so that you can offer engaging, full-color lessons Monday through Friday.
46 weeks of research based lesson that really work will be at your fingertips as soon as you enroll in the membership!
Extra reading resources like nonsense words, a fluency hub, syllabication, and vocabulary for the year is also included!
A diagnostic test is included so that you can determine where your class or child should start.
Printable activities for each week are also provided to ensure students are engaging in a direct practice that supports the science of reading to learn how to decode words (including high-frequency words or "sight words").
This reading membership is geared toward kindergarten – second-grade students that need components of structured literacy to become successful readers. It covers phonics, phonological awareness, fluency, sight words, and vocabulary!
Digital Slides
Each week you will have 5 days’ worth of lessons for direct and explicit instruction. Slides introduce the phonics focus, sight words, and the phonological awareness skills of the week.
Student Practice
9 activities aligned to the phonics focus will be provided each week to give ample practice and choice to support student learning and mastery of the learning targets.
Assessments
A weekly phonics assessment is provided to assess students’ understanding of the weekly phonics focus and progress towards improving decoding skills.
Video Trainings
SOR research, routines, and many phonics rules will be explained through quick training videos to help build your confidence using these lessons and to support you as you teach kids how to read (for real)

About the Creator
Naomi O’Brien
I have been a K-2 educator for 10+ years. I have been rated Highly Effective and Distinguised in multiple districts and my students' reading data has always amazed parents and principals.
Even though I didn’t know it was called “The Science of Reading” over a decade ago, I have been implementing SOR aligned practices in my classroom and seeing the amazing results of 5-7 year-olds becoming skilled readers over the course of the school year. When we follow what research says, 95% of our students should be reading at or above grade level.
Unfortunately, teacher trainings and certain curriculums haven’t always guided educators in the right direction.
I have always used digital slides to bring eye-catching and engaging reading lessons to my students. I am so happy to be able to share these slides, printables, activities, and my expertise with you so that you can decrease your amount of struggling readers (or never have them to begin with) and feel more confident in your reading instruction.
